From The Ground Up recording artist, Panama Black, made the announcement via his Twitter page that the new mixtape entitled "Rise & Grind" will be released April 20th. Head on over to his Myspace to listen to tracks from the album.

Definitely be on the look-out for that, along with the new mixtape from Mullage, scheduled to be released mid-April!

Double Red Cup

If you've been anywhere near the UStream chats lately, I don't have to explain this to you. You can just view and admire the picture.

For everyone else....
You can thank B-Town. He started the double red cup phenomenon. According to him, he started using two red cups to separate his drink from everyone else. And it caught on. From there it evolved, and eventually made it's way into a song (or two?).

I'm such a fangirl

I had to come update about this right now.

Last night, during the UStream chat, B-Town promised he'd call me. I didn't actually expect him to. But he said if I emailed him and reminded him today, that he would tonight.

He did it. I'm having such a huge fangirl moment right now.
I LOVE THESE GUYS. I'm a fan because I love their music. I believe in them. They're going places, they're taking over. But little stuff like this...them taking the time out for their fans, the live chats, CALLING US ON THE PHONE?!?!?! That separates them from everyone else. They care.

And I'm so, so appreciative.

Name change

It's damn near 4am, and here I am, still awake. I've actually just finished watching the live UStream for tonight. They were actin' a fool, as usual. But I cannot even begin to describe the excitement I have for the new mixtape. I heard a few of the songs they're working on tonight, and wow. This might be their best one yet. But we're going to have to wait until mid-April to find out.

Moving on...
I've been participating in these chats for quite some time. B-Boi and B-Town are both very involved in them, as well as whoever else happens to be there that night. They make it a point to answer whatever question the viewer might have. Of course, that requires them to address us individually on occasion. No big deal, right? Well the screen name I've used for so long is shinydisc0balls. I went through the whole techno/rave phase when I was younger, and my absolute favorite song from the genre was a song called...you guessed it, Shiny Disco Balls - Daft Punk. Not a big deal, but apparently men do not appreciate having to use the word balls repeatedly when addressing you. So one evening, during the UStream chat, this fact was brought to my attention. B-Town suggested that I change my Twitter name; I requested that he pick the new name.

His suggestion was simple. Faith. While very beautiful, and far more meaningful than the title to an ancient techno song, there was no way that was available. I decided to take it one step further, and @faithinmullage was born.

I'm happy with the choice in name. I can't decide if it's borderline crazy or not, but I'm rolling with it. I'm definitely very passionate about Mullage, and everything they stand for, so I just see it as part of who I am. But pair the name change with the tattoo, or maybe even just this blog, and some might call it over the top. Either way, I'm sticking with what I said before, it's dedication.

Celebrities would be nothing without the fans, right?

Where did the weekend go?

So, it's Monday. Ugh.
I hope everyone had a good weekend! I spent mine on a beautiful lake. There were bonfires, beer and family. Nothing better than that.

I've gone over Twitter, and it doesn't look like I've missed too much. There was a live UStream the night before last that I didn't get the chance to check out. Booo. It does look as if they had a very long night in the studio last night, so hopefully that means The Element of Versatility is coming along.

The question of the week, via @Mullage, is "what's your favorite Outkast/Dungeon Family record?"

One of my favorite Outkast songs has always been Bombs Over Baghdad. I would absolutely love to hear a remake of that. What's yours?!

Country Rock TONIGHT!

Alright guys, I'm a failure.

I knew I should have stayed up last night, but I haven't been getting very much sleep. So around 7:30pm I took a sleeping pill. I finished watching American Idol, and around 9:15 I turned my phone off and I went to bed. What do you think I woke up to this morning? About 15 text messages/Twitter texts letting me know that B-Town had been on U-Stream. In fact, the very first Twitter came to my phone at 9:34. 19 minutes after I had laid down. I was probably still awake!

I'm so irrationally upset with myself. Lesson learned? I can sleep when I'm dead. Tylenol PM, you've helped nothing.

Country Rock

I've not yet seen this advertised on Mullages Twitter (it's possible I could have overlooked it), but according to @FGUR1FGUR, Mullage will be performing at Country Rock in Griffin, GA on Thursday night.

Country Rock is located at 2700 N Expressway.

Can I just tell you how incredibly jealous I am of anyone who gets to go to this? My father lives literally 1.5 miles down the road (thank you, google maps). I've already texted him and asked him how quickly he could get me to Georgia. Trust me, I'd drive the 12 hours to be there, if it were a possibility. So far, no response, so it's not looking good. I WANT TO BE THERE SO BAD!!!

Edit: I went ahead and called Country Rock, because I was confused by the Twitter updates and wanted to be sure my info was right. It will in fact be Thursday night, and they'll be there with DJ Batman.

XXL magazine

It was very unfortunate that I had to miss the UStream the other night. Damn you, Mullage, for not revolving around my schedule. Don't you know I'm your biggest fan? Sheesh. But in all seriousness, it was an important UStream. Mullage let the fans know exactly what went on with XXL magazine. I, for one, am very appreciative that they come to their fans and make sure they have the real story, before we have to go out and read it somewhere else. I think it keeps us on a level with them, that most celebrity fans don't have the luxury of achieving.

Anyway, I'm rambling.

How many of you have seen the current XXL magazine, and their Freshman List? I was surprised by many of their picks, but I don't work for the magazine, clearly, so I have no say in it. What you might not know is that they interviewed Mullage for this list, and then left them off of it. In my opinion, Trick'n was one of the hottest songs of 2009. With a hit like that, they're bound to produce many more number 1's. I've heard their mixtapes, and they're definitely going places. So why would XXL intentionally leave them off of the list? I have no idea. But it's ridiculous.
